"Snorkeling at Misool Eco Resort was the BEST I've ever experienced. I have been chasing the best locations for years, with many trips to various locales in Sulawesi, Lombok, Sumatra, Nias/Mentawi Islands, Bali, Belize, Hawaii, Mexico, etc. etc. and your location is in first place. It is so cool that you guys established a big no-take zone, and it was so clearly evident in the behavior of the big fish--they were not afraid, and in many cases big fish swam TOWARDS me to check me out! I swam many times with big schools of HUGE bumpheads and could have touched them, they were obviously not hunted and thus not afraid. And just the sheer abundance of fish--wow, I've never seen anything quite like it, and corals and sea fans and all kinds of invertebrates too, and I saw turtles every time I got my face in the water.
Then there was the comfort and generosity of our hosts. Not only were the rooms (and beds!) super clean and comfortable, but the food was great too. And for snorkellers it felt so nice to be genuinely welcomed on the dive boat every time they went out. But, just so people know, the shore diving on the house reef, and from the beach in front of our bungalow, was excellent and very diverse--there are so many easy shore access places for fantastic snorkelling steps away from the bungalows.
I can't wait to come back next time and see how much bigger the friendly fish have grown! Thanks again for a great experience."

"The setting is astonishingly beautiful. All the dives are pretty amazing and the day trip to Daram was really fantastic. Our accommodation (Water Cottage) is fabulous and the design is perfect. Combining a high-end resort with a conservation centre sets MER apart from other destinations; you feel good about traveling here."

"The diving is spectacular, with so many amazing colours, and the dive guides are incredibly knowledgeable. The house reef is beautiful and the other dive sites are well located from the resort. The staff are so friendly and are very accommodating. The food is very good, the beds are comfortable and the outdoor bathrooms are great. I would definitely come back to this little paradise. It’s hard to put into words the feeling this stunning setting gives you."

"The MER team clearly has such a passion for the project and the Raja Ampat area. The location is picture perfect; it is a long journey to get here but it’s well worth it. The diversity of sea life is fantastic, the coral gardens are phenomenal, and the diving operation is very good. The food is absolutely superb, the staff are really friendly and helpful, and the facilities and amenities are great."
